While most students find that 60-minute sessions provide the ideal balance for deep conceptual exploration and practical application, session lengths are fully adaptable based on your specific academic or musical goals. Whether you are seeking consistent, individualized support throughout the school year or intensive coaching for a specific milestone, my pricing reflects the high-level preparation, custom materials, and over 15 years of research and pedagogical experience brought to every interaction.

45 min Introductory Session ($40)

The Goal: A dedicated first meeting to evaluate the student’s current level in STEM, Piano, or Chinese.
The Outcome: We will define a personalized roadmap, identify immediate academic gaps, and ensure our teaching/learning styles align

Ongoing Tutoring: The Mastery Package

Rate: $500 for 8 Lessons

After the introductory session, families transition to our standard package. To best accommodate your family’s schedule and learning preferences, I offer two formats for these sessions:

Online via Microsoft Teams: Each of the 8 lessons is 60 minutes, utilizing a professional and interactive digital classroom.
In-Home (Commute): If I commute to the student’s home, the package rate remains the same ($500), with each lesson structured as a 45-minute session.

Key Package Features:

3-Month Window: You have the freedom to finish your 8 lessons within a 3-month period, allowing for holiday breaks or intensive prep weeks.
Expert Oversight: Pricing reflects PhD-level scientific expertise, ABRSM Grade 8 piano performance standards, and custom-prepared materials for every student.

Lesson Formats & Locations

I offer flexible learning options to fit your family’s busy schedule. Whether you prefer the focus of a professional classroom or the comfort of your own home, I am dedicated to providing a high-quality educational environment.

In-Person Lessons

Location: Conveniently located in Redmond, near Rose Hill Middle School.
Environment: A quiet, dedicated space perfect for focused study in Chemistry, Physics, Math, or Mandarin.
Piano Lessons: Taught on a high‑quality grand piano, giving students better sound and touch to develop strong technique and musicality.

In-House Piano Lessons

Travel Area: I offer the convenience of traveling to your home for piano instruction.
Requirement: Available for families within a 15-minute commute of the Rose Hill/Redmond area.
Benefit: Students can learn on their own instrument in a familiar, relaxed setting.

Virtual Sessions

Platform: Conducted via Microsoft Teams.
Availability: Ideal for long-distance tutoring, or Thesis/Essay reviews.

Payment & Progress Tracking

Accepted Payment Methods: For your convenience, payments are accepted via Zelle or Cash.
Prepaid Packages: Packages are prepaid to secure your preferred time slots on the calendar.
Session Tracker: Families receive a live tracker to monitor remaining hours, expiration dates, and a summary of the concepts mastered in each lesson.
